At Birla Open Minds International School, Daltonganj, we believe in a comprehensive evaluation system that fosters academic excellence, discipline, and consistent progress. Our assessment structure ensures that students are regularly monitored and guided towards their best performance.
📌 Regular class tests are conducted in all subjects to assess students’ understanding and performance.
📌 Every Saturday, a class test is conducted to ensure continuous evaluation. These marks contribute to the final result.
📌 Two Unit Tests are taken in an academic year, and their scores are added to the final result, along with Saturday test marks.
📌 Teachers record students’ progress in the School Diary, keeping parents informed about their conduct, efforts, and academic growth.
📌 Homework and classwork copies also carry marks, encouraging students to maintain discipline in their daily studies.
Students are assessed through Two Examinations and Two Unit Tests during the academic year:
📅 First Terminal Examination – September
📅 Final Examination – March
💡 Unit Tests are conducted periodically to evaluate consistent learning and retention.
✔️ Students must secure a minimum of 40% marks in each subject to qualify for promotion.
✔️ A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for eligibility for promotion or the ICSE Examination.

✔️ Health & Well-being: Parents are advised not to send children for exams if they are ill or recovering.

📌 Homework & Classwork Evaluation
