Return and Refund Policy

At Birla Open Minds International School, we strive to provide the best educational services and resources for our students and parents. Please read our Return and Refund Policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions related to fees, cancellations, and refunds.

1. Admission Fees

  • The admission fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • Once paid, it cannot be refunded or transferred to another student or adjusted against future academic sessions.

2. Tuition and Other Fees

  • Tuition fees and other applicable charges are non-refundable, except in exceptional cases.
  • If a student withdraws after the session has begun, no refund will be issued for the fees already paid.
  • Quarterly fee payment of tuition and bus fees is mandatory. Students will not receive their admit cards for exams if payments are not cleared.
  • If bus fees are pending for more than three months, transportation services will be stopped.
  • If school and bus fees are not cleared for six months, the student’s name will be canceled from school records.
  • No refunds will be issued during the academic session for any reason.

3. Security Deposit (If Applicable)

  • No security deposit is applicable for day scholars.
  • For hostel students, please contact the school office for details.
  • Any refundable security deposit (for hostel students) will be returned upon completion of the academic year or withdrawal, subject to clearance of dues.
  • Deductions may apply in case of damage to school property or unpaid fees.

4. Cancellation of Transportation, Meals, or Other Services

  • Fees for optional services such as transport, meals, or extracurricular programs are non-refundable once the service has commenced.
  • Cancellation before the start of the service may be eligible for a partial refund, subject to administrative charges.

5. Refunds in Medical Cases

  • If a student has a serious medical condition and is unable to complete the academic year, a partial refund may be considered.
  • If extra monthly fees have been paid, a partial refund of the extra amount can be initiated.
  • Proper medical documentation is required for refund approval.

6. Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 30-45 working days from the date of approval.
  • Refunds will be credited through the original mode of payment or via bank transfer.

7. Force Majeure Clause

  • No refunds will be issued in cases of natural disasters, pandemics, government-mandated closures, natural mishappenings, accidents, or any other unforeseen events that may disrupt academic activities.

8. Important Fee Payment Instructions

  • Do not pay any school or bus fees into any staff member’s personal account.
  • The school will not be responsible for any payments made outside the official school channels.
  • If payment is made via a gateway system or online, a receipt or screenshot must be attached to the fee book.
  • If payment proof is not provided, the fee book will not be stamped.
